Prototyping Engineer

About the role

​As a new member in our Math team, you will be involved in continuous developing of prototyping tools. You will be responsible for developing algorithms for new functionalities used in the math models. You will help transforming the mathematical model into a prototype game and assist in ensuring that it follows the model exactly.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Team Lead Prototypes
• Develop algorithms for exciting maths models and new features
• Validate and simulate the mathematical models
• Participate in low-level maths profile requirements production
• Participate in weekly game concept meetings (creative brainstorming)
• Support existing maths models and features
• Support the Mathematicians
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications

Requirements

• Proficient in Java
• > 2 years of experience in software developing
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of statistics, probabilities, and combinatorics
• Fluent in English, written and spoken

Nice to have

• Javascript knowledge
• Passion for creating exciting games
• Strong creative, problem solving, communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
• Strong attention to detail

Good to know

This full-time position can be a permanent employment in Malta, or on a freelance basis for contractors
