Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Advanced Analytics Professional to join our team in Dallas, TX, with flexibility for remote work arrangements and various unanticipated locations throughout the United States. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for analyzing large and complex datasets, identifying causal relationships, explaining emerging trends, and predicting future outcomes of key business drivers.

You will play a critical role in project site selection, optimization, and rationalization efforts, including comprehensive churn analysis, customer behavior modeling, segmentation strategies, and sales analysis with forecasting capabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyze large datasets to identify causal relationships, explain trends, and predict future outcomes of key business drivers. Utilize statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract meaningful insights that inform strategic decision-making.
• Business Analytics Development: Work on comprehensive business analytics projects including problem question identification, data sourcing and wrangling, query development, data exploration, augmentation, and data visualization. Distill complex results into actionable insights that drive business growth.
• Database Management & Query Development: Leverage SQL Server, Alteryx, and other advanced tools to access, query, clean, and merge multiple large datasets including billing information, usage patterns, geospatial data, and demographic information for both regular and ad hoc analyses.
• Statistical Modeling & Machine Learning: Apply statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms including regression analysis, cluster analysis, classification, random forest models, sentiment analysis, A/B testing, optimization algorithms, factor analysis, time series analysis, dimension reduction, and variable selection. Utilize additional analytical methods such as ANOVA, F-Test, T-test, Cross-Validation, and experiment design.
• Predictive Model Development: Create and deploy predictive models including geographic location-based models and relevant tools for wrangling geospatial data using Alteryx and FME. Develop models that forecast future trends and behaviors.
• Programming & Automation: Utilize programming languages including R and Python with add-on packages such as pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and scikit-learn. Automate data extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Dashboard Design & Visualization: Design, maintain, and update interactive online dashboards using tools including PowerBI, Alteryx, and Tableau. Create compelling data visualizations that communicate complex findings to stakeholders at all levels.
• End-to-End Analysis: Conduct comprehensive end-to-end analyses including data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations to senior leadership.
• Business Intelligence & Financial Modeling: Work on advanced data analytics, marketing analytics, statistics, business intelligence, pricing strategies, and financial modeling within the telecommunications and wireless industry context.
• Team Insight & Performance Reporting: Provide insight on data and research activities including team productivity metrics, sales performance indicators, and economic impact assessments.
• Data Source Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques to ensure data quality and reliability.

Essential Qualifications

• Master's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree)
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the job offered or a related occupation
• Proven experience utilizing statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms including:
  • Regression analysis (linear, logistic, polynomial)
  • Cluster analysis and classification techniques
  • Random forest models
  • Sentiment analysis
  • A/B testing and optimization methodologies
  • Factor analysis and time series analysis
  • Dimension reduction and variable selection
  • Statistical tests including ANOVA, F-Test, T-test, Cross-Validation
  • Experimental design
• Strong proficiency in data discovery and visualization using tools including SQL, R, Python, SAS, MATLAB, pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PowerBI, Alteryx, and Tableau
• Experience designing, maintaining, and updating interactive online dashboards
• Advanced programming skills in R/Python with add-on packages including pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and scikit-learn
• Experience with automated ETL processes
• Proven track record conducting end-to-end analyses from requirements gathering through presentation
• Ability to provide insights on data and research activities including team productivity, sales performance, and economic impact
• Experience assessing effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL server query platforms
• Statistical Business Analysis certification
• Advanced Programming certification

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
• Experience in the wireless and telecommunications industry
• Knowledge of geospatial data analysis and mapping tools
• Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms
