Doctoral Intern - Device Development & Product Innovation
Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking PhD and PharmD students for a 12-week internship in their Device Development and Innovation department. The role involves demonstrating the feasibility of new drug formulations through lab work, analyzing lab results, and conducting investigations to support clinical studies of inhaled products.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the feasibility of new drug formulations through hands on lab work
- Analyze results of lab experiments involving new drug formulations and dry powder inhalers
- Conduct lab investigations regarding clinical complaints in order to support ongoing clinical studies of our inhaled product portfolio
Skills
- PhD and PharmD students majoring in pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field
- US Work Authorization is required at time of application
- Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2026
- Ability to report onsite to Durham, NC 3-5 days per week
- Previous lab experience is preferred
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design
- Proficiency in MS Office 365
