[Remote] Infor XA Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Programmers.io is seeking an Infor XA Consultant to provide support for upgrades, patches, and version migrations of Infor XA and IBMi systems. The role involves user training, functional and technical consulting, and acting as a subject matter expert for Infor XA ERP modules. Responsibilities • Support upgrades, patches, and version migrations of Infor XA and IBMi systems • Provide user training, mentoring, and day-to-day application support • Provide functional and technical consulting to gather business requirements, design solutions, and implement system enhancements • Document processes and build tasks to complement install work • Act as a subject matter expert for Infor XA ERP modules (Manufacturing, Finance, Inventory, Order Processing, etc.) • Develop, test, and maintain RPG (RPGLE, RPG IV, Free Format) , CL, and SQL programs within the IBM i environment • Customize and extend Infor XA applications, including Power-Link, Net-Link, System-Link, and Integrator • Perform system configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization • Create technical documentation, user guides, and process workflows • Work with business users to support month-end, year-end, and other ERP processes • Integrate Infor XA with third-party applications and tools Skills • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 5+ years of experience working with Infor XA ERP in a functional/technical consulting role • Strong knowledge of IBMi (AS/400, iSeries, IBM Power Systems) environment • Hands-on experience with RPG IV / RPGLE, CL, and SQL programming • Proficiency with Infor XA tools such as Power-Link, Net-Link, Integrator, and System-Link • Experience with Infor XA upgrades, modifications, and custom development • Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, and financial processes • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams • Able to debug legacy custom code using all versions of RPG and using both STRDBG and STRISDB in interactive and batch environments • Proficient use of QUERY/400 • Experience with Infor XA Releases 7, 9, 10 or higher • Familiarity with Infor Development Framework (IDF) • Knowledge of data integration (EDI, APIs, Web Services) • Exposure to Infor ION, Mongoose, or Cloud Suite solutions • Project management or consulting experience in an ERP environment • Has worked with IBMi Monitoring tools like Halcyon Company Overview • IBM i is evolving.
