Product Definition / Product Data Manager

Rolls-Royce is a leading company in engineering and manufacturing, seeking a Product Definition / Product Data Manager. This role involves managing engineering changes and producing component definitions while supporting digital transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of engineering changes end-to-end from inception of change request, collation of inputs, evaluation and checking, to approval and communication of changes
• Produce and check Component definitions in line with Engineering Standards to meet design intent, satisfying fit, form and function of the component whilst optimizing for manufacture
• Own process documentation for product definition
• Support delivery of the automation workstreams and Digital Transformation Strategy

Skills

• Associates Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience OR
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 1+ years of experience OR
• Master's degree in Engineering, OR
• PhD in Engineering
• To be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
• Demonstrate strong communication and coordination skills; this includes working internally and with our external MSPs (Managed Service Providers) to deliver solutions
• Experience with process management, data analysis, and quality assurance of product definitions
• Demonstrate skills working with influencing stakeholders across an organization
• Experience in CAD modeling (Siemens NX), product lifecycle management (PLM) software (Teamcenter), and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T drawing standards per ASME Y14.5M and/or ISO) is essential for this role
• Highly numerate with good technical and analytical skills, problem-solving ability and capable of systems level thinking
• Have appropriate engineering experience in conceptual and detail design, detail definition methods and a good understanding of manufacturing techniques
