Healthcare Virtual Assistant & Claims Specialist - Contract to Hire
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Healthcare Virtual Assistant & Claims Specialist with strong experience in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to support our healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with claims entry, adjudication, reporting, and data management, and be comfortable working with healthcare claims systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate claims entry and claims adjudication for professional (CMS-1500) claims
- Manage end-to-end RCM processes, including claim submission, follow-ups, and resolution
- Work within healthcare claims systems
- Generate and analyze claims utilization and performance reports
- Conduct data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Review claims for errors, compliance issues, and missing information prior to submission
- Coordinate with billing teams, providers, and payers to resolve claim discrepancies
- Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide administrative and virtual assistance support related to billing and claims operations
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
- Strong background in professional claims entry and adjudication
- Experience working with healthcare claims systems
- Skilled in claims utilization-based reporting and data analysis
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to accuracy and detail
- Knowledge of medical billing guidelines, payer rules, and claim workflows
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote/virtual environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-specialty practices
- Familiarity with payer portals and EDI claim submission
- Advanced reporting or Excel skills
