Sustainable Housing Tech: Innovations that tackle the housing tech landscape with scalable and affordable solutions. Future of Work: Tools and platforms that make remote work seamless and accessible for everyone. We believe in humbleness and competence first. The Role We're building a network of Strategic Advisors who bring deep expertise in the industries and challenges our portfolio companies face. These aren't traditional board seats—we're looking for practitioners who've been in the trenches and can provide real, actionable guidance to founders building in rural America. What We're Looking For We're seeking advisors with hands-on experience in one or more of these areas: Manufacturing Tech: You've built or led manufacturing technology companies focused on automation and robotics, worked as an executive at an operating company pushing the boundaries of production, or founded a startup in advanced manufacturing. You understand the economics of why building in America makes sense—and how to make it work in rural communities. Rural Business Building: You've successfully built, scaled, or operated businesses in rural communities. You understand the logistics, talent, infrastructure, and community dynamics that make rural operations different—and you know how to win anyway. Sustainable Housing Tech: You have experience in the modular housing space, sustainable construction, or housing technology. Whether you've been part of a startup innovating in this space or led operations at a company rethinking how we build homes, you know what it takes to make housing tech scalable and affordable. Future of Remote Work: You've built or worked with technology that enables remote work—whether that's cybersecurity solutions, collaboration tools, productivity software, or digital workforce platforms. You understand how technology can make remote work seamless and accessible for everyone. What You'll Do • Provide strategic guidance to portfolio companies in your area of expertise • Make introductions to potential customers, partners, and talent • Share insights on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and go-to-market strategies • Help founders navigate challenges specific to building in rural markets • Suggest potential investments from your network • Participate in periodic calls and check-ins with companies where your expertise is most relevant • Support our investment team with due diligence and evaluation in your domain Who You Are You bring credibility and depth from your professional experience. Your background likely includes work at large corporations, time in academic institutions, prior roles in venture capital, or similar environments where you've developed deep expertise in your domain. You understand how enterprise customers think, how large organizations operate, and how to navigate complex business environments. You believe that the next generation of great companies will be built in places that have been overlooked, and you're excited to share what you've learned with founders tackling big problems in small towns.
