As part of our Instruments Division - Global Customer Care team, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee various projects, including operational, commercial, and new product development initiatives. Key Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading the development of project charters and management plans, directing and managing projects, and evaluating tradeoffs within projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the team in the development of project charters and management plans, and directing, managing, monitoring, and controlling projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Meeting with project stakeholders to understand and refine project scope, reviewing with managers for approval, and creating detailed Work Breakdown Structures to guide project execution.
  • Demonstrating effective communication skills, working closely with managers and team members to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Developing and managing detailed project Gantt charts, analyzing critical paths and major workstreams, and collaborating with supervisors and/or project PMs to establish sub-project budgets and monitor costs.
  • Developing risk management plans, identifying, analyzing, and understanding project risks, and developing and monitoring risk response plans to mitigate potential issues.
  • Estimating, acquiring, and assigning project team resources, defining roles, responsibilities, and deliverables for each team member, and providing direct feedback to functional managers on performance reviews.
  • Developing Stakeholder management plans, based on the identification, analysis, and understanding of Stakeholder expectations, and executing communications management plans for project teams and key stakeholders.
  • Incorporating end-user feedback to refine project scope, communicating changes, updates, and decisions to key stakeholders, and understanding how project goals fit into broader organizational objectives.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, depending on complexity, and serving as the PMO project lifecycle expert on the team, owning project planning and replanning, assigning tasks, and managing schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Performing project status reporting, exercising good judgment when escalating project and operational risks, and leveraging PM tools to manage open actions, risks, key decisions, and lessons learned.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4+ years of project management-related work experience, with a proven track record of managing or leading projects of varying complexity through the full project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or other similar tools, is highly preferred.
  • Certification in Project Management, such as CAPM or PMP, is preferred, and utilization of agile and/or waterfall planning methodology is also desirable.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for product design is preferred, as is experience leading projects for medical devices or regulated industries.
