The Vice President, Program Management Office (PMO) leads global enterprise program and project delivery – ensuring initiatives are executed well, on time, within budget, and to produce desire outcomes. The VP elevates the PMO from an execution function to a value orchestration and strategy‑realization office: designing programs to drive strategic objectives, enforcing outcome‑based governance, enabling delivery at scale, and communicating effectively across stakeholder groups. The VP manages program managers and the project management support team, partnering with Account Management, Operations, IT Delivery, and Finance to turn demand into predictable results and measurable value.
• Manage delivery of portfolio initiatives on‑time, within budget and realizing expected outcomes, including milestone tracking, expense monitoring, and data-driven KPIs / decision support.
• Set and enforce program / project management governance; lead executive status reviews, including decision-making, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
• Optimize the project management global operating model for successfully delivering client and internal projects at scale
• Set and enforce program and project management policy and procedures, including stage‑gates, including intake, estimation, sequencing, execution (e.g., SDLC), and outcome tracking
• Direct portfolio planning and critical path oversight, monitoring milestones, validating estimates to complete, reviewing of at-risk projects / programs and driving corrective actions to closure.
• Represent the organization’s portfolio execution with clear, concise, and open communication; build culture of communication supported by data and facts.
• Ensure project data quality and dashboard / reporting decision to support planning, execution, and decision-making
• Establish a data strategy for the PMO and project stakeholder; standardize executive dashboards and narratives; adopt AI‑assisted reporting and predictive analytics.
• Facilitate annual strategic project planning, including budgeting and financial performance
• Own portfolio financials (budgeting, EAC/ETC variance, benefits realization, external spend) and partner with capability leaders on capacity, utilization, and staffing to balance demand and supply.
• Manage, coach, and certify program and project managers; oversee PMO support team (system administration, project intake, execution reporting, performance audits, etc.); build PMO community of operational excellence and growth mindset.
• Continuously improve methods, templates, and tooling; simplify where possible and standardize where valuable; run post‑mortems to improve estimation accuracy, time‑to‑green for escalations, and outcome realization.
