You’ll find hands-on mentorship, meaningful responsibility, and a culture that prioritizes people and performance equally. ️ The Role As an Associate, you'll: • Analyze insurance policies and advise insurers on complex coverage issues • Draft detailed coverage opinions • Defend carriers in bad faith and declaratory relief actions • Manage your own caseload with support from experienced partners • Handle depositions, discovery, strategy, and dispositive motion work Location & Flexibility • Offices in Los Angeles – 100% remote • High autonomy over your work and calendar Compensation & Benefits • Base salary up to $200,000 (depending on experience) • Profit-sharing bonus structure: $145/hour on all net billables above 1,600 hours • Discretionary bonus potential (many associates have received five-figure bonuses annually) • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) retirement plan • No billing micromanagement and plenty of time for personal needs and growth ✅ Ideal Candidate • California Bar member • 1+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or bad faith litigation defense OR 3+ years of general litigation defense experience with a strong interest in this space • Strong legal writing and analytical skills • Someone who values independence, excellence, and a healthier pace of legal life This is a rare opening at one of California’s most respected boutique litigation firms, where top-tier work and work-life balance are not mutually exclusive.
