I am seeking an experienced legal writer with appellate-level experience to proofread and possibly revise or edit a California Court of Appeals opening Brief. This brief is already drafted: this role does not need drafting from scratch.
The goal is to ensure the brief is court-ready, clear, concise, and properly formatted, with strong legal flow and clarity. Proofread for grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence clarity, and consistency of terminology. Light revisions to improve the brief. No changes to legal theories or facts without approval.
